Introduction
While Lillian the director of Together for Sudan was in Khartoum on one
of her regular visits one of our 2009 university graduates, Teresa
Yacoub, came to the TfS project centre to hand in a letter of thanks and a
photo from her graduation.
Dear Dr. Lillian,

I would like to thank God for all his grace upon me until I finished my
studies in Business Administration and would like to thank you for
giving me the opportunity to be one of those people whom Together for
Sudan is helping. Such people are hard to find but God made it that such
people are available and one of them is you. I would also like to thank
all the Together for Sudan office staff who worked hard and gave
valuable support to help me finish my studies.
From Ahfad University I have learned a lot of things that I will never
forget:
*It shaped my personality from the academic and social side;
*I learned how to deal with people from different levels and, through
field trips, about new ways to help people in rural areas.
*I learned how to involve myself in a thought life.
*I learned how to face difficulties and how to make my own decisions.
*I learned how to depend on myself and express my opinion even if it was
not accepted by others.
Now I am going to a new stage in my life and I don’t fear because I am
already informed about this state by the training that I had. I also
learned a lot, including organizing, from the activities I participated
in every year in Women’s Week, in choir, drama and group sports as well
as many workshops.
Lastly, I would like to greatly thank you again for your support. Many
people are looking for this chance to attend university and that is why
I value you and will never forget you. God bless.
Yours sincerely,
Teresa Yacoub
